Fun on a hot day!
We had lots of fun playing with water to cool us down this afternoon.
PE lesson: Tuesday 17th May
Today we used scarves to imitate the ocean. We danced around making waves. We also made rowing boats in pairs and acted like pirates, watching out of the boats.
Exploring the forest area 13.5.22
We had some fun exploring the forest area this afternoon. Lots of the plants have been cut back. We saw many snails and wild flowers. We did some pencil sketches while we were there.
Ark Farm Visit-Friday 13th May 2022
Today we were so lucky to have a visit from Ark Farm. We had a half hour slot to see all of the animals. We got to ask questions and listen to facts about the different animals. They were all so friendly and we loved our time with them. If we wanted to, we could stroke most of the animals and some of us fed the rabbits and guinea pigs.
Well done to our budding musician for her efforts in the Rock Steady performance. You smiled and concentrated well in front of the audience.
March 2022
In PE we have been creating our own sequences using the apparatus. We have found different ways of travelling and practised jumping whilst doing a half or full turn. We have also tried to perfect our front, back and side supports.

Year 2 enjoyed their Under the Sea topic day. Lots of craft work was completed and the children were really proud of their creations.

Dazzling Dioramas/Fantastic Fish
We finally got to finish our Under the Sea dioramas today and they turned out really well...

Today in Maths, we practised our addition calculations by playing some games in pairs. We had lots of fun whilst calculating mentally or on whiteboards.
January/February 2022
In DT we have been making 'Under the Sea' themed dioramas. We have been very creative and are thoroughly enjoying making our models. Some of us brought in shells, pebbles and items from home that we shared. We have also used tissue paper and coloured card to make sea anemones and fish. More photos will be put on when we have finished.

In Science we have been finding out about living things and their habitats. We went into the forest area and looked for mini-beasts and evidence of habitats.
October 2021
In the Autumn Term we all did some sewing and created a wolf or pig puppet. We did very well with our stitching and although many of us needed help from the adults, we impressed them and are very proud of our puppets!
