In English over the next two weeks we will be focusing on writing diary entries..

We will be reading the book Krindlekrax by Philip Ridley.

The children will be analysing the different features needed for a diary entry.

They will be exploring different vocabulary and looking at using different sentence starters.

Once children have an understanding of the features needed to write a diary entry, they will be planning their own using the knowledge learnt throughout the two weeks.

From their plan they, they will be writing their own diary entry and will then be reading them aloud in groups focussing on fluency and expression.
