School Council

Friday 27th November 2020

Today in our school council meeting we discussed building a Bug Hotel.  All children will be designing a hotel. We talked about how we as a school could care for nature as well as promoting learning outside the classroom. The children wanted to run a competition so that each class came up with a name for the hotel. The winning class will win a prize. Building works start in the new year.

Forres school council have organised Recycle bins around school...

Our school council is made up of 20 children from Year 2 upwards. Each school councillor represents the children in our school and can be approached at any time. We meet once a month to discuss ideas that are brought to us. Mrs Sutheran leads the school council to promote well being throughout the school.

This year we will be raising money for a variety of charities, please check the school calendar for future events.

Thank you for your continued support.

How do You feel about coming back to school?

Everybody was mostly happy about coming back to school and although they have to social distance because of Covid they can still play fun games. As part of the school council we asked our school friends if they enjoyed being back.

This is what Tia said,

"I was very nervous at first but feel happy to see all of my friends".

Eco-warriors

This past week our year 3's have been eco-warriors. They have created posters on what the cost of plastic is to our enviroment; what happens if we don't recycle our rubbish and where it ends up.

Also, there will now be more recycling bins around school, which we hope everyone will use so there will be no rubbish on the floor or playground.
