• Hydration breaks!

  Today in school to cope with the heatwave, we introduced our own World Cup style hydration breaks for each class in our only air conditioned classroom! During the day Mr Douglas also came round with a spray gun to cool us all down!

  

• Year 6 Football Winners!

  Today, our Year 6 A Team took part in a local schools football tournament and won!

• You Can't Catch Me, I'm The Gingerbread Man!

  Over the past two weeks, Confidence class has fully immersed themselves in traditional tales. We have explored 'Jack and the Beanstalk', 'Goldilocks and the Three Bears' and 'The Gingerbread Man'. 

  We have enjoyed making our own gingerbread biscuits, writing our own stories, planting our own beanstalks, guessing what is inside the golden eggs and building our own beanstalks! 

  In Maths, we have been focusing on numbers 14-20 and have enjoyed creating the numbers using tens frames, numicon, stamps and cubes! 

  

• Keep Dancing!

  Wednesday 29th April was International Dance Day, so at 2:45 the whole school dropped everything to dance on the playground!

  We danced to Cha Cha Slide, The Macarena, K Pop and other favourites! 

  We had so much fun!

  One of our Year 6 pupils, Malachi recently went on his Rugby Club Tour where he won Player of the Tour!

• Art Club

  Yesterday, was our first Art Club session of the Summer Term! 

  We are going round and round exploring concentric circles created by Kandinsky! We then had a go at making our own using felt tips, crayons and water colours.

  Our Easter bunnies delievered an Easter Egg to every pupil today!

• Darcy takes the prize!

  Last night Darcy, Ellis and Elise took part in the 31st Essay Writing Competition held by Hoddesdon Rotary Club. Out of nine local schools, Darcy was crowned the winner! 

  Well done Darcy!

• Mother's Day Afternoon Tea

  To celebrate all of our fabulous mothers, grandmothers, aunties and friends we held a Mother's Day Afternoon Tea. 

  Everyone enjoyed a scone and a cup of tea!
