  • Reading and Phonics

    Fri 14 Jan 2022

In Key Stage 2 this week many children have been taking their Star Reader tests and we are starting to see the real impact these are having on our children's reading confidence. Please continue to support this by encouraging children with their accelerated reader books at home. After half term we are hoping to have decided on a new reading and phonics scheme for our children in EYFS and Key Stage 1 so please also look out for any new information regarding this in the next few weeks.

  • School Loop

    Fri 14 May 2021

We are increasingly concerned about the safety of our children and families at drop off and pick up times. There are many cars using the drop off bay and at times this is quite dangerous. With immediate effect we are introducing a school loop for drop off and pick up times. If you are going to use the stop and drop bay you MUST follow this. If you are a blue badge holder coming onto site at the end of the day you must also follow this. We need the traffic to flow more steadily to ease congestion around the school. Anyone choosing not to follow our school loop will be asked not to drive onto site in the future. We appreciate the cooperation of our families in keeping our school community safe.

    School Loop:

You may only drive into the school site from the left and when leaving the drop off bay you must also exit to the left. No one is to turn right into the school site and no one is to turn right as they exit. Please do not turn around on local roads but rather loop around the estate

    Thank you

  • Lateral flow tests

    Fri 05 Feb 2021

As mentioned last week, staff in school are now taking lateral flow tests twice a week to stop the spread of Covid to our school. Please continue to support us by not sending children into school if they show any signs of covid, ensuring that you get a test if this is the case.

    Thank you

  • Update on school opening

    Fri 29 Jan 2021
As you would all have seen on the news last night the Government Plan is to start the return of schools after 8th March. At the moment we know as much as you do about how this will look but will continue to update parents as we know more. From this coming Monday staff in school will begin Lateral Flow Testing for Covid 19. Unlike secondary schools only staff will take these tests, not children, but we hope this will give the whole school community reassurance that the virus is being stopped before it enters the school site.
