At Forres Primary Academy, safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to ensuring that every child feels safe, valued, respected and supported so that they can thrive academically, socially and emotionally. We recognise that all adults in school have a responsibility to safeguard children. Staff receive regular safeguarding training and are vigilant in identifying and responding to any concerns about a child's welfare. Concerns are recorded promptly and acted upon in line with statutory guidance and local safeguarding procedures. Our designated safeguarding team works closely with families and external agencies to ensure that children receive the support they need at the earliest opportunity. We promote a culture where pupils feel confident to speak to trusted adults and know that their voices will be heard.

Safeguarding at Forres Primary Academy extends beyond child protection. Through our curriculum, assemblies and pastoral support, we teach children how to stay safe online, manage risks, develop healthy relationships, look after their mental wellbeing and make positive choices.

We are proud of the strong relationships that exist across our school community. By working together with parents, carers and external professionals, we strive to create a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment where every child can learn, achieve and flourish.
