On Wednesday the 27th of November, Woolwich and Paddington class went on a trip back in time to pre-history at the Celtic Harmony Camp in Hertford.
There the children gained a hands-on experience of what life was like back in the Stone Age. They had the chance to build shelters for hunters, gather valuable plants and nuts in the woods that their tribe could eat to stay healthy and to trade valuable items such as animal horns, seashells, rope and beech wood. They also learned all about Flint knapping and how to train to be a hunter.
Despite the wet weather, the children had a wonderful time and learned a lot which they shared in their work the next day.
Thanks again to the staff at Celtic Harmony for an amazing trip.
