November 2014 Writing Week
When we return from Half Term on the 3rd of November, Forres School Writing Week starts and with this years theme focusing on creative work based in the realms of Spies & Forensics, we've managed to arrange a day of activities for the entire school on Monday with visitors GlaxoSmithKline. The entire school will have an hour each in the hall with the professionals from GSK and the week will be peppered with various activities that not only include the children's core lessons but make them as exciting as possible. From designing spy cameras in science to writing a letter to their Spy HQ.
We will also be finishing the week with our popular Vocabulary day and on the 7th of November, all children will be encouraged to come into school dressed up in crime/police inspired attire. We encourage the children to be as inventive as they can be and there will of course be prizes for the best dressed children in each year group.
Arranged as a collective effort by Miss Montague and Mr Donno, this years writing week is shaping up to be the best and most secretive of all so far.
