I have to say this wasn’t how I imagined spending my last term at Forres school and I would like to thank all of our community for pulling together at this difficult time, my staff have been amazing and I have been overwhelmed with support from everyone I come into contact with. Parents I know this is a difficult time for you, you are being asked to do things that are out of your comfort zone and this is scary, but remember these are not normal times and this is not normal schooling. There is no compulsion for you to teach for 5 hours a day. If you get your children to do an hour a day home learning then celebrate, read a book together, bake some cakes, watch some nonsense on television together. This is the third day of possibly many days to come. It is ok to try to get through this with as fewer tantrums as possible over school work. Year 6, we will get you all together to celebrate your achievements later in the year. Your teachers and all our staff with whom you’ve worked with want to say goodbye and to wish you well face to face. My thoughts are that in these difficult times the majority of people will show that they are good people, kind caring and considerate people, they will continue to embrace the values that we hold so closely at our school. Please help us quieten the frustration and fear, these are uncertain times but we should remain optimistic and have faith in our community to get through this.
