Fundraising for the community

Forres held a coffee morning in aid of the Macmillan nurses and a  fantastic amount of £446.67 was raised. The cake in the picture was decorated by the talented Miss Morrall, a year 3 teacher. Other cakes were provided by Forres staff and a caterpillar cake was kindly donated by Morrison's of Hoddesdon which was won by Knightsbridge class by estimating the number of sprinkles on the cake!
Wear it Pink Day (end of September)  was enjoyed by the children who wore an array of different shades of pink. Each class were given either a pink iced biscuit, provided by our wonderful kitchen staff, or a pink wafer biscuit that was kindly donated to the school by Claire Bayless at Morrisons, Hoddesdon. A staggering total of £289.00 was raised for the charity.
Children in need was celebrated at school Friday 13th November. An amazing £402.00 was raised for this worthy cause. The children joined in with Joe Wicks for PE and embraced the fun of the day doing a range of Pudsey Bear activities.

For Harvest Festival, the children of Forres Primary School collected food for the Broxbourne Foodbank.

In the photo, our school head boys and girls handed over the food to Jeremy from the Trussell Trust.
