Tick-Tock, we are learning about clocks!
Thursday 22nd February
Tody, we began our learning on time. Initially we discussed the vocabulary associated with telling the time, before we looked at the turns we use when telling the time. We took our learning outdoors to practise turning, just like a clock!
Today we faced some tricky problems which saw us apply our knowledge of both addition and subtraction. We were given a total that each side of our triangle must add up to.

Collecting and representing data
This week we have moved on to collecting our own data and looking at how we can show this to other people in the most effective way.
Wednesday's learning took us outside to investigate the most popular car colour that drives past the front gates. We had great fun collecting data, although it was a little bit chilly!
Scales, Scales, Scales
Today we have been applying all of our knowledge of scales in order to create our own. We thought about what each increment would represent and then had a go at finding some mystery numbers.
The children all came up with some brilliant ideas, here are just a few:
"If 70 is here, 71 will be next to it."
"50 is here because it is a multiple of 10 as it ends in a 0."
"I put 84 here because it is not quite half way between 80 and 90"
Well done Green Park, you had some super ideas today!

A soggy Maths lesson
Today the children began their learning about capacity. In order to do this they estimated the capacity of different containers before testing out whether they were accurate or not by pouring water into their container.
