Scales, Scales, Scales
Today we have been applying all of our knowledge of scales in order to create our own. We thought about what each increment would represent and then had a go at finding some mystery numbers.
The children all came up with some brilliant ideas, here are just a few:
"If 70 is here, 71 will be next to it."
"50 is here because it is a multiple of 10 as it ends in a 0."
"I put 84 here because it is not quite half way between 80 and 90"

A soggy Maths lesson
Today the children began their learning about capacity. In order to do this they estimated the capacity of different containers before testing out whether they were accurate or not by pouring water into their container.
